The Smithy Arms is an independent free house based in the village of Swinton in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire. For decades, the pub has been a central feature of the village catering to locals, visitors and passing tourists.
The Smithy Arms is owned by local family, Mark and Rosie Blades and is managed by another local Rachael Liversidge. Between them, they are continuing to build on the foundations laid by the many landlords before them.
Their combined vision is to create a friendly, welcoming community hub where locals and non-locals can relax, have fun, eat great food, enjoy a range of events and feel completely at ease. Plans are fully underway to give the place a more contemporary feel whilst retaining the traditional pub atmosphere.
Known for many years as The Blacksmiths Arms, it was decided that rebranding as The Smithy Arms would give the pub a new identity whilst still retaining its impressive heritage
Delicious new food menus and a fabulous selection of wines have been quickly introduced along with a range of events and activities. There’s always something to entertain you at The Smithy Arms; bingo, quiz nights, darts, pool, sports coverage, live bands and much more.
